Alan Kelley is the Managing Director for SJF Ventures’ California office. He has led investments in and represented SJF on the boards of Easy Metrics, MediaMath, MedPage Today, ServiceChannel, Preclick, Ryla Teleservices and Vital Farms. Alan has invested in technology companies for more than a decade. He conceived, developed and managed Trusco Capital Management’s first Internet and technology mutual fund, which ranked in the top quintile of the Lipper Science and Technology Funds Universe. Kelley received a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University. He earned his M.B.A. from the Goizueta Business School’s Evening Program at Emory University.
Dean graduated #1 in Economics and in the top 1% of his class from the U.S. Naval Academy. After spending five years as a Supply Corp Officer in the Navy, Dean founded IMS with a former classmate, Dan Keto. Under their leadership IMS was awarded as one of Washington State’s fastest growing companies in 2007. Dean is recognized as a leading expert in designing effective business intelligence applications for labor intensive operations. In 2002 he graduated from the Owner/President Management Program (OPM) at the Harvard Business School. In addition to his professional and academic successes, Dean was also a National Motorcycle Champion and a nationally ranked rower.
A Distinguished Graduate in Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy and Graduate of Harvard Business School, Dan spent his naval career working for the National Security Agency as a Russian linguist and Cryptologic Officer. Dan co-founded Easy Metrics Inc. in 2012 where he serves as President and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to Easy Metrics, Dan was the co-founder of Integrated Management Systems, a distribution outsourcing company. Dan has extensive experience in business process and information systems development. He is a published author and guest lectures at the University of Washington Evans School on Performance Management and Strategic Knowledge Management. Dan is also a Board Trustee of the Millionair Club Charity in Seattle, and serves as its Past Board President.
Felix Anthony was most recently Vice President, Kindle at Amazon.com and was responsible for Kindle Software, Kindle Product Management, Kindle User Interface and the Digital Platform for media products like mp3 and streaming video. In his 12 years at Amazon.com, he was Vice President for Ordering in the e-Commerce platform team and Vice President for Fulfillment Systems in the Operations and Logistics team. Prior to Amazon, he was an entrepreneur and has been a software developer in Graphics, Systems Management, Education, Finance and Developer tools at various companies on the east coast. Currently he pursues his interests in Physics, Culture travel and Art. He is also an angel investor, mentor and advisor to startups in the US and in India. He has a Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
Scott Roza is the Senior Vice President at Guidewire and is responsible for Guidewire’s worldwide sales and pre-sales consulting teams, whose main focus is to achieve alignment between Guidewire’s market leading solutions and the transformation agendas of Property and Casualty insurers. Prior to Guidewire Scott served as Skytap’s Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure, Skytap achieved 70%+ year over year growth for five consecutive years. Prior to Skytap, Scott was VP of Worldwide OEM and Channel Sales for Hewlett Packard/Opsware’s Business Service Automation, VP of Marketing and Business Development for iConclude, and VP Sales and Marketing for Advanced Digital Information Corporation. Scott has also worked as a consultant for McKinsey and Co., and served 5 years in the United States Navy as a Submarine Officer. Scott holds a B.S. degree in Marine Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland, an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School.
Daniel Geballe is a Principal in the California office of SJF Ventures. Prior to SJF, Dan worked for DBL Investors (summer associate), Corporation for Enterprise Development and Fisher Investments.
Dan has a Bachelor’s Degree in anthropology and Master’s Degree in environmental management from Yale University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He serves on the boards of the Levi Strauss Foundation and the Koshland Committee of the San Francisco Foundation and is on the advisory board of Butler Koshland Fellowships.
