Price Discovery gives finance and operations leaders the cost to serve visibility needed to accurately price work, renegotiate contracts, and reduce margin erosion across warehouse networks.

BELLEVUE, Wash., August 14, 2026 — Easy Metrics, the leader in Warehouse Performance Management, today announced the launch of Price Discovery, a new capability that enables warehouse, supply chain, and finance leaders to identify and recover margin lost to inaccurate distribution pricing.

Built into the Easy Metrics Warehouse Performance Management platform, Price Discovery uses cost to serve and activity-based costing to determine pricing based on actual operational costs rather than blended averages.

Traditional warehouse financial reporting relies on those averages, obscuring the true cost of serving individual customers, order profiles, fulfillment paths, and service tiers. According to Bain & Company research, 30-40% of distribution transactions are mispriced as a result. The margin impact is significant: industry analysis from Bain & Company identifies 1.5–3 EBITDA percentage points recoverable in distribution alone.

Price Discovery addresses this challenge by using cost to serve to determine optimal pricing based on the actual economics of warehouse work. By resolving costs at the activity level – by customer, product family, fulfillment path, and order profile – it gives finance teams the operational evidence needed to make pricing decisions with confidence.

“Operations and finance teams have long known that blended cost averages don’t tell the whole story,” said Dan Keto, President and CTO of Easy Metrics. “Price Discovery changes what’s possible. Instead of defending a rate increase with a gut feeling, leaders can now walk into a pricing conversation with the actual cost of the work by customer, process, and order type.”

Unlike traditional cost reporting, Price Discovery continuously resolves operational cost against actual workload conditions, exposing where lower-complexity work is subsidizing hard work and where pricing has drifted from operational reality. The result is a defensible, fact-based foundation for pricing decisions across the business.

With Price Discovery, organizations can:

  • Identify customers, SKUs, and fulfillment paths where margin is being lost
  • Reprice contracts and service tiers with decomposed cost evidence
  • Set surcharges, minimums, and free-shipping thresholds against actual operational cost
  • Optimize product portfolios based on actual handling costs
  • Align sales and finance teams around a single, objective view of servicing cost

Price Discovery is built into the Easy Metrics Warehouse Performance Management platform and leverages existing operational data from WMS, payroll, financial, and other related systems.

The launch expands Easy Metrics’ growing Profit Management capabilities, which connect operational activity directly to financial outcomes through activity-based costing, cost to serve analytics, and real-time profitability visibility.

For third-party logistics providers, Price Discovery enables customer-level contract margin visibility and defensible repricing conversations. For retailers, manufacturers, and distributors, it provides the cost to serve visibility to align pricing with the actual economics of fulfillment.

“DC cost has become one of the largest variable lines on the P&L, and it’s been opaque for too long,” Keto added. “Price Discovery gives organizations the numbers to determine the right price for the work based on what it actually costs to perform.”

Easy Metrics is making Price Discovery available to enterprise customers across distribution, retail, manufacturing, and third-party logistics operations.
